David Toms and Chez Reavie both shot a score of 62 at The Crowne Plaza Invitational today at Colonial. Toms has seemed to recover after losing in a playoff at The Players Championship last week. David Toms said that his putting had held him back at Sawgrass, but that he had a lot of good things happening with his swing. He was dead on!
Rickie Fowler was one shot behind them with a 63. Fowler was one birdie away from breaking the course record at 60, but hit his approach shot on his last hole short and it rolled into the water hazard resulting in a double bogey, 6.
There seemed to be very good scoring all around today, with the players tied for 94th place, shooting an even par 72. Colonial attracts many great players and they seem to be taking advantage of the good scoring conditions! Should be an exciting weekend!
