Lucas Glover Wins The Wells Fargo Championship!

Lucas Glover will be the first one to tell you - there is nothing wrong with a good solid par. Glover finished off his final round of the Wells Fargo Championship on Sunday with three of them, fist pumping the last one! He then sat and watched as his good friend, Jonathan Byrd, birdied the last hole to shoot an even par 72, and force a playoff. Glover was able to win on the first hole with, you guessed it, another par.

It was Lucas Glover's first win since his triumph at the 2009 U.S. Open Championship. He has battled with personal issues and swing issues in the past. He was finally able to overcome them and take the top spot at the Wells Fargo.

Jonathan Byrd, who has won his last two events in a playoff, made a clutch birdie putt on the 18th hole. It was the excitement that the tour needs in the weeks that Tiger Woods does not play.

There is some great talent on the tour, and it is exciting to watch these guys hit the ball. Tiger adds another element to the game, but when you have champions like Lucas Glover and Jonathan Byrd at the top, how can you not tune in?

Congrats Lucas Glover, now you definitely have to keep that beard going strong!

Enjoy the week everyone!
