Tiger Woods withdraws after 9 holes at The Players

Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the 2011 Players Championship after nine holes. He had been spotted walking around the grounds with a significant limp. He stated that he had re-injured his knee, which was putting extra pressure on his already damaged Achilles tendon. This is the second Players Championship in a row that Woods has withdrawn from. Last years tournament, he left after six holes of the final round.

After nine holes of today's tournament, he was 6-over par. His score of 42 was his highest ever posted at the Players for nine holes.

Woods' return to the game of golf is still in question. People will be wondering if he will be able to make a run at the 2011 US Open this June. We will have to wait and see!
